About

The Maxus 7.3m Fast Cat was designed by Gerry Smyth and Ian MacLeod of IK MacLeod & Associates. This vessel is a workboat designed to deliver exceptional stability, efficiency and working comfort in inshore conditions. The vessel provides a wide, stable platform making it an ideal choice for potting, angling and other commercial fishing operations.

The twin hull design offers significantly improved stability over a traditional monohull, reducing roll and providing a more secure working environment when handling gear. This makes the vessel well suited to demanding day to day operations where safety and confidence on deck are key. The 3.2m beam allows for a spacious work area for fishermen to work efficiently.

Designed with practicality in mind, the Maxus 7.3m Fast Cat is easy to handle and can be operated by a single person or small crew. Its layout can be tailored to suit individual requirements, with options available to support a range of fishing methods and onboard setups.

While primarily built for commercial use, the Maxus 7.3m Fast Cat can also be adapted for leisure and non-commercial applications.
The Maxus 7.3m Fast Cat can be supplied as a loose set of mouldings, a full structure, or as a sail-away vessel. The loose set of mouldings consists of the hull, wheelhouse, rails and deck hatches.
