Build Standards

All of our commercial vessels are constructed in accordance with the relevant MCA Code of Practice, ensuring compliance with current safety, stability and operational requirements. We use agents from SCMS to survey our vessels on behalf of the MCA.

All manufacturing is carried out in a controlled workshop environment, where temperature and humidity are carefully managed. This allows for consistent lamination quality and improved structural integrity throughout the build process.

We work closely with owners and surveyors at each stage of construction to ensure a smooth path to certification and compliance, while maintaining a high standard of finish across every vessel.

By combining recognised industry standards with controlled build conditions and practical experience, we deliver vessels that are safe, reliable and built to perform over the long term.

Build Options

All of our vessels are available at different stages of completion, allowing customers to choose the level of build that best suits their requirements and budget.

Stage 1 – Loose Set of Mouldings
A complete set of mouldings including hull, wheelhouse rails and associated components. This option is suited to customers who wish to carry out their own fit-out or complete the build elsewhere.

Stage 2 – Complete Structure
A fully assembled and finished structural build. This will include the boat taken up to deck level and all associated components fitted together. This provides a solid and professionally built platform for further customisation.

Stage 3 – Sail Away Vessel
A fully completed vessel, ready for operation. This includes installation of engines, systems, deck equipment, and finishing to the customer’s specification.

Fitouts

Fitouts

In addition to our own builds, we also offer a comprehensive fit-out service for externally sourced hulls. Working closely with owners and skippers, we can take a bare hull and complete it to a fully operational vessel, tailored to specific fishing methods and individual requirements.

Our experience covers a wide range of hull types and sizes, including projects such as the Bucaneer 46, Cyclone 33, SF 33, Gemini 10, Gemini 12, and Typhoon. Each fit-out is approached with the same attention to detail and practical understanding that goes into our own vessels.

We can supply and install all aspects of a working boat, including wheelhouse construction, deck layouts, hydraulic systems, winches and haulers, pipework, electrical systems and full electronic packages. Layout and equipment are carefully considered to ensure efficient workflow, safe operation and long-term reliability at sea.

Every project is completed in consultation with the customer, allowing us to deliver a vessel that is not only functional, but properly suited to its intended fishery.

Whether the requirement is a simple working platform or a fully specified commercial vessel, our team has the experience to deliver a high-quality and dependable fit-out. Have a look at some of our fitouts below.

Leisure

Leisure

While our primary focus has been on commercial fishing vessels, we have increasingly applied our designs to the leisure and passenger market. To date, we have produced a number of vessels for sailing clubs, along with a dedicated dive boat and two passenger ferries.

These builds have primarily utilised our proven Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat and GM7M platforms, both of which offer excellent stability, deck space, and reliability which are key qualities for leisure, training and passenger operations.

Our leisure vessels are built to meet relevant coding requirements and can be tailored to suit a wide range of uses. We offer flexible layouts with options including extended wheelhouses, onboard toilet facilities and wheelchair access, ensuring vessels are practical, inclusive, and comfortable for both crew and passengers.

Each project is developed in close consultation with the client, allowing us to create a layout that prioritises safety, usability and passenger experience. Whether for club safety duties, dive support, or passenger transport, we aim to deliver a vessel that is fit for purpose and straightforward to operate.

By combining commercial-grade construction with adaptable design, we are able to produce durable, low-maintenance vessels that meet the demands of leisure and passenger applications. Have a look at some of our non-commercial vessels below.
