Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat
EnquireAbout
The Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat, designed by Gerry Smyth and Ian MacLeod of IK MacLeod & Associates, is a robust and versatile workboat developed for reliable performance in inshore environments. Its 4m beam and catamaran hull form create a broad, well-balanced platform, making it highly suited to potting, angling and a range of commercial fishing activities where space and stability are essential.
The Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat delivers excellent steadiness on the water, minimising roll and enhancing onboard comfort during fishing. The generous beam not only improves safety but also offers a practical, open working area that supports efficient day-to-day use.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat can be fitted with either inboard or outboard engines to suit individual preferences and operational requirements. It remains easy to handle and can be operated by a single person or a small crew.
While primarily built for commercial fishing, the Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat has also proven popular in the non-commercial market. We have produced a number of 9.2m vessels for leisure applications. If you would like to find out more about these builds, please refer to our “Leisure” section.
The Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat can be supplied as a loose set of mouldings, a full structure, or as a sail-away vessel. The loose set of mouldings include the hull, wheelhouse, rails, and deck hatches.
