Alsvior

Description

Alsvior is a Bucaneer 46 vessel fitted out by G Smyth Boats for operations in Orkney. Completed in 2015 to a high standard, the project involved taking an externally supplied hull through to a fully operational fishing vessel, tailored to suit the owner’s requirements.

The vessel is powered by a 50hp Scania engine, delivering reliable and efficient performance suited to inshore fishing. A central feature of the build is the onboard vivier tank system, providing an eight-tonne capacity for holding catch, alongside a three-tonne bait store making the vessel well suited to shellfish operations.

All aspects of the vessel were completed with durability and ease of use in mind, ensuring dependable performance in the often challenging conditions around Orkney. The wheelhouse layout offers good visibility and straightforward control, supporting safe operation at sea.

The vessel was owned by Ronnie Norquay and skippered by his son Scott. This project highlights our ability to deliver complete fit-outs on externally built hulls, producing well-finished and capable vessels tailored to the needs of each owner.
