Keila K121 is one of our Maxus 9.2m Fast Cat vessels, constructed in 2024 for owner and skipper Tommy Tulloch. Based in Westray, Orkney, the vessel has been built to support a flexible approach to inshore fishing with a primary focus on creel work alongside jigging and seasonal fisheries.
The vessel is powered by twin Iveco N40 inboard engines, delivering strong performance with efficient fuel consumption and responsive handling. During sea trials, Keila achieved speeds of up to 26 knots with a comfortable cruising speed around 16 knots.
The wheelhouse is fitted with a full electronics package supplied by Echomaster Marine, arranged in a wraparound console for ease of use, while aluminium framed windows from Technautic Marine Windows provide durability and low maintenance. Suspension seating is fitted to enhance onboard comfort during operation.
Keila is equipped for a range of fishing methods, including creeling and jigging, with deck machinery supplied by Spencer Carter and additional jigging systems installed to support mackerel fishing. The vessel is also fitted with extensive deck lighting to ensure safe working in low light conditions.
